Flat Panel tv
How do i get my flat panel tv to recognize my laptop?
I got a Lcd Tv and it has a vga port. I connected my laptop to the computer using the vga input and turn the tv to the vga input but it says not signal. How do i make this work? I know i have to do something with my computer to make it recognize the hdtv as a monitor but what do i do?
Adjust the TV signal source. On mine there's a button called 'source' I need to press to select 'pc' as the input source. oh..and make sure the cable is connected between your pc and the TV.
If you're lucky the laptop autosenses and sends the signal to the tv. Of course then you wouldn't have posted this question.
If that doesn't work, check your BIOS (hit the key mentioned in your POST screen when starting your computer).
If that doesn't work, check the manufacturers web site or your keyboard - the keyboard sometimes has a key with a little icon on it. Try it with the shift , ctl, alt and every other useful other key you think might help.
Last but not least - the manufacturer may respond with a very informative reply if you send an email to their product support people online.
