After you have connected a VCR to a TV, how do you enable it to record?
I recently got a 52 inch Sony Bravia Lcd Tv and connected the VCR to the back of it. I connected the antenna to the VCR and I can watch TV and cassettes on the VCR. I do not know how to make the VCR record certain channels. I browse through the channels on the VCR, but nothing comes up.
I have an antenna that collects digital channels.
When I used a digital converter box, which was connected to the VCR, I was able to record.
LOL!! it is always funny for me to see the clueless responses here, like "you have to program it".
I can tell you off the top that you have this connected wrong. Go back and read the part in your manual which discusses the connections available on the back of your Bravia. This time, pay special attention to the term video input, as applied to each and everyone of them.
Your TV (and most of them) do not output video through those jacks on the back of your TV, so that is why your VCR isn't recording anything.
If you have a cable or satellite box, that device will output video and that is what you have to connect to your VCR input to. Then connect the VCR output to those input jacks on the back of the TV. 
If you don't have a cable box of some sort and get your TV signal from an antenna, then you have a larger problem since if your VCR has a tuner, it is probably an analog one and there is no longer an analog TV signal.
